Film Library

Introduction

The Film Library is where users can browse, search, and select films for viewing in WatchGameFilm (WGF). This section provides access to all uploaded films, organized by date, group, and title. Users can also filter, download, edit, and manage films from this page.

Navigating the Film Library

1. Search Bar - Enter keywords to quickly find specific films by title or tags.
2. Filter Dropdown - Use this to sort films by category:
   • Recent - Shows the most recently uploaded films.
   • Favorites - Displays films that have been marked as favorites.
   • Current - Includes films from the current season (determined by the season start date set in the Team Details page under Settings).
   • Past - Lists films from previous seasons (also based on the team's season start date).
   • Training - Contains instructional and skill development videos.
   • Other - Includes miscellaneous films that do not fit into the above categories.
3. Film List - Displays films with the following details:
   • Date - When the film was recorded.
   • Group - The category of the film (Game, Practice, Scout, Training, etc.).
   • Title - The name of the film.
   • Tags - Labels used for quick identification and search.
   • Clips - The number of video clips associated with the film.

Actions & Controls

To select a film from your list, click on it once. The row will highlight in blue, indicating that it is selected. Once a film is selected, you can access the following options:

• View Film (Blue Play Button) - Click this to open and watch the selected film.
• Download Film (Gray Download Button) - Allows users to save the film to their local device.
• Edit Film Details (Gray Edit Button) - Enables modifications to film metadata such as title, tags, and group.
• Delete Film (Red Trash Button) - Permanently removes the selected film from the library.

Important Notes

• Deleted films can be recovered within 30 days from the "Undelete" section in settings.
• Downloading may be restricted depending on user permissions.
• Tagging films properly improves searchability and organization.
• The Current and Past categories are based on the season start date set in the Team Details page under Settings.
