Film Exchange

Last Updated: March 3, 2025

1. Inbox

The Inbox is where you receive film exchange offers from other teams. This is a one-way transaction, meaning another team is offering to send a single film to your team.

  • When a film is offered to you, it will appear in your Inbox.
  • You have the option to Accept or Deny the film.
  • If you Accept, the film is copied from the sender's team to your team's film library.
  • Once the transaction is completed, no further exchanges or modifications can be made to the transaction.
  • If you Deny, the exchange is canceled, and no film is transferred.

This system ensures simple, efficient sharing without requiring both teams to send footage simultaneously.

2. Locker In

The Locker In section allows teams to store and organize game film within a shared League Locker. This is especially useful for teams in the same league that follow predefined film-sharing agreements.

  • Adding Film: You can add film to the League Locker by clicking the "Add to Locker" button.
  • Organized Access: All films added to the League Locker are available for league members to access later.
  • Filtering & Searching: The interface allows teams to search and filter films based on Date, Group, Title, Tags, and Clips.

By using Locker In, teams ensure that their league-wide film-sharing processes remain structured and accessible.

3. Locker Out

The Locker Out feature allows teams to check out a film from the League Locker and add it to their own team-s film library on WatchGameFilm.

Locker Out Interface Features

  • Film List: Displays all available films in the League Locker, including columns for Film Title, Teams, Clips, and Date.
  • Search Bar: Allows users to quickly find films by entering keywords related to title, teams, or other metadata.
  • Filters: Enables filtering by date, teams, or clip count to refine search results.
  • Selection Checkbox: Teams can select one or multiple films to check out.
  • Action Buttons:
    • Check Out: Moves selected films from the League Locker to the team-s film library.
    • Email Notification: Sends an email update to relevant team members about the checked-out films.
    • Refresh: Updates the list to reflect the latest available films.

How to Use Locker Out

  1. Browse the film list or use the search and filter options to find the desired film.
  2. Select the film(s) you wish to check out using the checkbox.
  3. Click the Check Out button to add the film(s) to your team-s library.
  4. The film is now accessible in your library for analysis and review.

By using Locker Out, teams can efficiently retrieve league films and integrate them into their own strategic planning while maintaining a structured and accessible archive.

4. League Exchange

The League Exchange feature allows teams to trade film within their league on WatchGameFilm. This ensures that film exchanges between league teams are streamlined and compliant with league-wide agreements.

  • Sending Film: Select the film from your library and initiate a League Exchange.
  • For League Teams Only: This exchange method is limited to teams that are part of the same league on WGF.
  • Efficient Film Sharing: Ensures that league members can easily share and access film without relying on external sharing methods.

By using League Exchange, teams can ensure that all league-related film trading is centralized and efficiently managed.

6. Team Exchange

The Team Exchange feature allows teams to send film directly to another team on WatchGameFilm. This is a one-way transaction, meaning that if both teams want to exchange films, they must each initiate a separate Team Exchange transaction.

  • To initiate a Team Exchange, select the film from your library that you want to share.
  • Click the Exchange button and choose the team you wish to send the film to.
  • The recipient team will receive the film and have the ability to accept it into their library.
  • One-Way Exchange: Each team must send a separate transaction if they both want to trade film.
  • For WGF Teams Only: This exchange method is specifically for trading with teams that are also on the WatchGameFilm platform.

By using Team Exchange, teams can efficiently share and receive film with specific opponents or partners within WatchGameFilm.

7. Open Exchange

The Open Exchange feature allows teams to share film with teams that are not on WatchGameFilm. This is useful for sharing film with external teams, scouts, or organizations that do not have a WGF account.

  • Generating a Shareable Link: When initiating an Open Exchange, WatchGameFilm generates a secure link.
  • Email Delivery: The recipient receives the link via email and can use it to download the film.
  • No WGF Account Required: Unlike other exchange methods, the recipient does not need to be a registered WGF user to access the film.
  • Ideal for External Sharing: This feature is beneficial for sharing film with teams outside your league, media personnel, or recruiters.
  • Expiration: The generated link is valid for two weeks, after which it automatically expires.

By using Open Exchange, teams can distribute their film beyond the WatchGameFilm ecosystem while maintaining control over access and distribution.

8. Exchange History

The Exchange History section provides a log of all past film exchanges conducted by your team. This includes details about the sender, recipient, film title, and transaction date.

  • Tracking Transactions: Teams can review all previous film exchanges, including Inbox offers, Team Exchanges, League Exchanges, and Open Exchanges.
  • Filter & Search: Use the search bar to quickly find a specific exchange based on date, sender, receiver, or film title.
