Breakdown

Film breakdown was one of the biggest changes made to WatchGameFilm! It has been revamped from the ground up to provide a more flexible and efficient workflow for better breakdown and analysis of your film.

Instead of the traditional clip-based film system, we've transitioned to a more modern markers-based system. Think of markers as a bookmark that is placed at a specific point in your film. Each marker holds tag data such as Q1, DEF, etc. However, you also can type whatever you want for a tag, giving you ultimate freedom over your film breakdown.

All of the items listed below make up Film Breakdown. This feature provides coaches with insight to some of the important numbers and tendencies in a game. We try to automate the process of game data collection (Tags, Markers, Action Detection) as best we can.

We then summarize this game data visually in a Game Report. Finally we generate an AI discussion with you based on the game data found allowing you to delve deeper into the numbers to get real analysis and insight.

Please see our Help Documentation for complete instructions on using Breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Action Detection is the result of AI analyzing the video and looking for specific actions within the game. Currently we are identifying snaps in football, serves in volleyball and shots in basketball.

Absolutely! That is the main point of our marker system. While some tags are reserved for specific sport actions, teams can build out their own nomenclature to track things that are important to them.

Yes and No. Action Detection can handle a lot of the basic markers and our support team will provide simple items such as ODK/Run/Pass/etc. but we do not offer full-blown stat breakdown. Please contact help@watchgamefilm.com to discuss your needs.
